To quote LBJ “it’s with a heavy heart” that I put my D-28 up for sale. But I need to help my lady with her property improvements. So: I’ve owned and played Martin’s since my first one, bought new in 1970. This ‘53 is the best sounding of all -including a bone-stock1949 I had for a few years. It’s one of the rare Adirondack topped ones they built in 1953. Top is refinished and has a Grevin pickguard. Back and sides are exceptionally beautiful Brazilian rosewood and appear to be in the original lacquer. All else is original on the guitar. Please don’t waste my time or yours. Price is somewhat firm at $19,500 (look at Gbase and Reverb for comparison) and reflects the caliber of the guitar. Must see to appreciate (and more especially “hear”…). Bring along your best sounding axe for comparison, and then let’s talk. If serious and have cash (no trades) please call or text: 9two5-64o-o363. Thank you
