Sweet 30" scale violin bass. This model, 1420B, was made in '68 and '69. Though perhaps inspired by, this is not a Hofner copy. Some changed parts-originals included (except tuners).

The replacement pick-ups are period correct, likely Maxon, pickups. Fat Dawg of Subway Guitars did the replacements 20+ years ago. Great cosmetics-just a couple nicks. Missing control cavity cover. Has the original vinyl gig bag with broken zipper. '70's Schaller tuners.

Strung with flat wounds. Great throb w/ tone control down.

Owned since mid '70's by guitar player so used sparingly over the years. Very light.

Guitar (not bass) trades considered. Short scale makes it easy for guitarists who want to do some low-end work.
