The only major modifications:
-Rickard Cyclone 10:1 Tuners installed. These are considered the very best in turner technology. The tuners cost $214, not including the cost of installation.
-Top 5 frets were replaced by Gryphon Stringed Instruments. Cost was about $200.
Comes with the original case and Vega key (very rare).
It has a new bridge setup for Irish tenor banjo strings. It will come with additional bridges if you want to change tuning/stringes.
Also comes with several new sets of strings. It also. has a new Remo unlabeled head. This banjo doesn't need anything.
Price is $1600, may consider an offer once you have seen it. This is a special vintage instrument. They go for this much in poor condition and need major work. This one is in amazing condition with just the right upgrades to make it a modern very playable instrument.
