I used this rig for years to record bands, podcasts, classical music, you name it. Workflow was dead simple and I never needed a laptop — but of course the hard disk recorder is also a regular USB interface and you can use it with your DAW. Everything connects via ADAT and word clock for absolute rock solid reliability, or you can use the analog I/O on the recorder. I have literally never experienced a single dropout in live tracking.
These preamps are wonderfully full and articulate and rather flexible, sporting both variable impedance input and fully variable high pass filter. Line in and out for an analog mixdown scenario should you desire. There are two channels with minor caveats, which you can troubleshoot/repair or leave as is.
You are welcome to haggle if you just want the rack units and their original cabling, but paying my asking price gets you all the goodies, and good vibes. Any questions, just ask.
