We’re moving and sadly must find a new home for our beloved Steinway grand piano.
It’s been in our family since 1978 and primarily used for home concerts.
It’s a highly coveted 88-note model B from 1898 with ice cream cone legs and incredibly rich and warm sound. A few nicks from over the years, but only superficial imperfections. Serial number 94210.
Here is a collection of hi-res images taken just before the piano was moved into storage. These reflect the current condition.

Here’s a short smartphone video from a 2023 recital performance, the audio quality isn’t that great but it’ll give you a sense of the tone.

From an appraisal:
General Condition: Appears to be in good condition. Keys are recovered. Action in original condition except for new hammers, shanks and flanges. Piano was restrung in the early 70s: plate refinished, soundboard shimmed and refinished. Tuned at standard pitch. Rich even tone throughout.
