Selling my Korg DW-8000. This unit has a mod where sockets were soldered into where the waveform rom chips go. There are new waveforms inserted currently. These are more modern analog style waveforms. You can see a demonstration of these here: https://youtu.be/rkFORNourRI?si=i6R_yygUuQIy4atZ by The Synth King.

I still have the original waveform rom chips that I will include. You can just pop the hood, remove the chips, and swap the new ones for the old ones and vice versa as you wish. Both sets are numbered so you can insert them into their proper place.

Everything works on this unit as it should. All the keys, aftertouch, joystick, MIDI, sliders, buttons, switches, effects, arpeggiator settings, etc. The only issues are cosmetic. You can see in the pictures it has some wear to the first couple of waveforms printed on the synth. Still visible though. The previous owner had put tape on some areas and some residue or staining occurred. Other than that, it’s in great functional shape.

The only reason I’m selling this is because I would prefer to get the rack version. If you have the Korg EX-8000 and are willing to trade for the keyboard version here with an arpeggiator and extra waveforms, we can do that.

Synth includes a dust cover and I can send you all of my SysEx patches I have. Comes with carrying case with one handle broken. Original manual and preset tape.
