There are a few scratches and nicks in the wood, indicative of its age.
:: PROVENANCE ::
This sweet piano has been in our family since about 1972 when it was purchased at El Monte Music/Piano in Concord, CA. I wonder where it was from 1937 to 1972.
Would someone like to welcome this piano into their heart and home? ...be its custodian for the next generation?
:: MADE ABOUT 1937 ::
Its serial number, 157925, indicates it was made in about 1937, according to the website = Total Piano Care dot com /hallet-and-davis-pianos.html. The serial number is stamped in the top left corner of the back of the piano near the left hinge.
A screen shot of the history of Hallet Davis & Co is shown in pictures. See HalletDavisPiano dot com /history/
Can anyone help me find this piano a new home? I do not play (much) and my house is small.
Free to a good home.
Move out: I forgot to mention the move out. 3 steps down to the front walkway. Then about 15 feet to the sidewalk. The walkway and sidewalk are not exactly smooth, a little bumpy. I have furniture dollies that you can use to get it to your truck.
