I've received this guitar in June 2017 from Shelley, it has been my go-to gypsy jazz guitar for 2~3 years, otherwise in storage, used for projects time to time. (My main is a nylon string.) The guitar is in Excellent condition with minor superficial scratches present.
The guitar was ordered with a Dupont Bigtone pickup, but its wiring got frayed and I settled with K&K pickups instead. (I've been throwing in a K&K in pretty much all acoustic instrument that I had for the past 20 years.)
Under the bridge saddle foot, you have a small hole to pass a wire through, from Shelley's shop for the Bigtone installation. Should you decide to try any surface mount or saddle mount pickups in the future. Remember to reuse the wire pass through.
I've strung it up with Savarez Argentine, light on the bottom 4 and a gauge up on the top 2 since I like setting my guitars with low action.
The guitar was dressed and set up recently, frets show no visible wear.
Elan 14 is a gypsy jazz guitar with a 640mm (25.2") scale, round/modern grip/neck feel, and 14th fret neck/body joint for easy access to the upper register.
A big mouth model, less nasal and punchy than small mouth ones, the lows and the highs feel closer to a flat top steel string, but with the presence and the quack of a gypsy guitar.
New ones start from 5300 currently if you order it with Shelley.
I'm selling mine for 3200 shipped in the continental U.S., or I can offer a discount for a local purchase if you're in the SF bay area.
P.S. I'm looking to sell, and not considering trades at this time.
