I barely used this interface since purchasing it new in approximately 2010.
Channels 1 & 2 have mic/instrument combo inputs with phantom power and plenty of gain adjustment. The front panel also hosts a headphones output which is independent of the output channel count.
The two mic preamps are fully bypass-able with unbalanced send/return inserts on a single 1:4” TRS jack, on the back. 6 other balanced 1/4” line inputs and 8 balanced 1/4” line outs also live on the back, as well as wordclock in/out, midi in/out, s/pdif in/out, and two FireWire ports.
I think I’ve described this thing fully. I’d still use it with my old FireWire equipped Mac mini, but I got something else which will record as a standalone device. The converters (96KHz) are very well regarded. I’ve got the optional rack ears and a long fire wire cable too. If you have a computer with FireWire this would be a really cheap way to get into some good quality 8 channel AD/DA conversion.
