For sale is my extremely rare Marble Traveller all tube handmade amplifier from Marble Amplification in Renkum, Netherlands.

Their current website is www.marble-amps.com On the homepage of the website select Artists>Jesse Van Ruller for pictures of both he and his touring amp, along with a brief description of the tonal characteristics of it. Go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMWY2v_qWwE for a video of him playing through this head.

The homepage of their website says: Marble Amplifiers is a small company with 25 years of experience in designing hand-built, point to point wired tube amplifiers. We have developed 4 different series of Amps, catering for the needs and tastes of serious and professional musicians alike. We feel that the soul of tubes is captured best by working in the tradition of the great amplifier designs of the days gone by, with special emphasis on American amps from the 50’s and 60’s.

I cannot stress enough the uniqueness and rarity of this amplifier. I do not believe there is another one like it anywhere in North America or anywhere else for that matter.

It is 100% functional, and was recently serviced by Hal Petcher at Guitronics in San Francisco. (see receipt) The “funky” input jacks described on the receipt turned out to be a loose connection in my speaker cable instead, but Hal went through the entire amp anyway, and there are no issues whatsoever with it.

The tone is gorgeous. If you’re a jazz player, you would really enjoy owning this amp. It's also great for blues, and punches way above it's class in terms of clean power.
Because Van Ruller toured the world, there’s an adjustable voltage switch on the rear panel. (see pics) Also on the rear panel are tone, reverb, and dwell controls for the spring reverb. Also a tube/diode rectifier switch to be able to select a slightly more aggressive sound.

On the front panel is a class A/AB switch. In class AB, I believe the rated output is somewhere between 44 and 50 watts. Selecting pure class A drops the output in half, and yields an incredibly smooth and fat tube sound. Bright and Normal inputs, main on/off and standby switches, along with presence, middle, bass, treble and volume controls round out the front panel. The output tubes are a matched set of General Electric 7581A's. (KT66's) These are very high end tubes and sell online used for $100+ per tube. The 7581A is an uprated 6L6GC with higher plate voltage capability.

I purchased this amp approximately 20 years ago from a friend who lives here locally who bought it new and had it shipped to him directly from Marble. It got occasional use by him, and even less from me since I’ve owned it.
This is a chance to own a truly unique, versatile and gorgeous hand made all tube amplifier. Custom Tuki cover included. No trades please. Fender, Gibson, Fuchs, Roland, Mesa Boogie, Rivera, Hughes and Kettner, Bogner, Soldano, Vox, Peavy, Dr Z, Demeter
