I’m selling my beloved Yamaha U3, serial 3259870, manufactured in Japan. I’ve owned and played this piano for over 20 years, and it has been consistently maintained, tuned yearly, and kept in a non-smoking climate-controlled home. Last tuning was about 10 months ago. Last voiced and regulated in 2023.

The U3 is Yamaha’s flagship professional upright—known for its powerful, resonant tone, responsive action, and incredible reliability. This particular piano has a rich, full voice, excellent clarity, and a wonderfully balanced touch. It has been a joy to play and still performs beautifully. The Yamaha U3 is highly sought-after for serious students, teachers, performers, or anyone wanting a top-tier upright that rivals small grands. The build quality from this era (Japan factory) is exceptional, and this piano has many decades of music ahead.
