This started its life as a MIM Classic 60s in candy apple red. The finish was scuff sanded (not removed), then primed and got and a couple cans of Guitar Reranch nitro lacquer sprayed over - black and a clearcoat. Not a pro job; the idea was to wear it down or sand it again and let some red start come through again. I never got to that part. It looks - OK. Various little nicks and wear. The body should be considered very much player grade.
It was professionally routed, cleanly with a template, for humbuckers. I put together an AllParts mint green guard, a pair of Epiphone Pro Buckers with braided/two-conductor wiring (these are actually awesome sounding PAF types), Mallory capacitors, and Bourn Audio pots, and a high quality three-way switch.
Has a Wilkinson vintage style six-screw bridge with heavy steel block / push-in arm.
The neck was lightly sanded to smooth out the clearcoat and feels great.
Vintage size frets and a 7.25" radius.
Come check it out - this is a really cool guitar for the price. High quality neck and electronics. Comes with a Fender gig bag.
