4x10" Ampeg VT-40 top-load combo.
60 watts, all tube. Built-in reverb tank.
Amazing EQ/tone stack section. Great for bass too.
Loud, heavy, awesome.
I have some extra tubes that'll go with it.
Rance Electronics in Berkeley went through it and added a custom speaker wiring option to bypass internal speakers*. So you can combine or isolate internal and external cabs on one transformer tap(impedance) or use the amp's different taps. This was useful for recording which is all I've used it for.
Two of the four 10" speakers were replaced with Jensen Falcons which IMHO worked very well and were my mic preference but, again for recording, the original speakers provided a nice 2nd mic alternative tone for stereo spreads or mono combinations.
When I bought the amp the back panel (protecting the tubes) was missing so I fashioned a vented wood panel. It is obvious in the pictures since it is bare wood, no tolex. *You will also see the added output jack that could be removed.
The handle is covered with foam and wrapped with gaff to make it easy on the hands when moving. This can easily be cut off to reveal the original handle.
The pictured mic, mic clamp, external speaker cables are not included.
