Over many years of instrument building these were a few that I kept. There is one exception, the 1930’s Dobro Concert uke. The cigar box models are conventionally constructed with internal bracing and thinned soundboards. They stay tuned and will stand the test of time. Most have a detail or two with a Folk Art repurposed vibe such as a pie pan resonator cover, and the veneers made of matchstick. They are all setup with comfortable action, and ready to be played. Don’t hesitate to ask a question. More photos on request. Happy to meet and let you try with No pressure. Cash or Zelle. Thanks!

1) Vintage BradFord Panetelas cigar box ukulele. 13 1/2” soprano scale length. Mojo - the cigar box was used as someone’s First Aid box, seen by the faint Red Cross painted on the front. Mustache bridge, brass trapeze, and matchstick veneer headstock. $175
2) SOLD - Tin cigar box soprano ukulele
3) The WedgeWood resonator cigar box ukulele. 14 3/4” concert scale length. 6” National ukulele cone under a vintage WedgeWood stove faceplate. The cigar box’s parallelogram shape follows the same lines and the faceplate (they were made for each other). The neck is a surf style headstock and Rosewood fret board. $250
4) Vintage 1930’s Dobro resonator ukulele. 14” concert scale length. All original Dobro ukulele. Dobro ukes are very uncommon. Built like a tank and plays superbly. Literally a barn-find as evident by a mouse’s modification of the left F hole. Lots of patina and superficial scratches, but plays beautifully. With hard case. $650
5) Art Deco style resonator ukulele. 17” tenor scale length. 6” resonator cone under a vintage Deco style speaker cover finished in a tobacco sunburst body and neck. The cone projects loud with a good reso tone and long sustain. $285
6) SOLD- Custom Tenor size Koa and Mahogany ukulele. 16 3/4” tenor scale. Mahogany top with Koa sides, with a Picasso-ish art back. A few details that keep it from looking too traditional, non-centered fret makers and offset tuners. The wood combination gives it a nice bright tone. The larger sound hole really project. Knotless bridge gives it a nice clean look. $400
7) SOLD - Vintage Harmony baritone ukulele.
8) Cigar Box resonator 4 string banjo / tenor guitar. 22 1/2” scale length with a recycled Kalamazoo neck.
