Our production team works across printing, finishing, assembly, quality control, and packing to deliver high-quality, customer-ready products.
The Finishing Department plays a critical role in ensuring our products meet both functional and aesthetic standards through sanding, coating, and surface preparation processes.
YOUR ROLE
As a Sander in the Finishing Department, you will be responsible for preparing 3D printed lighting products for final coating and assembly by sanding and refining surfaces to meet Gantri’s quality standards. You will work with various sanding tools and equipment and may support other production functions as needed.
This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, hands-on, and interested in developing craftsmanship in a modern manufacturing environment.
CORE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate sanding equipment (e.g., orbital sanders) to smooth and finish product surfaces
- Follow work instructions and quality standards to achieve desired finishes
- Inspect parts for defects and perform rework as needed
- Prepare products after printing and primer application for final finishing stages
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety within the work area
- Track and maintain inventory within internal systems
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot sanding or finishing issues
- Support cross-functional work across Print, QC, and Assembly as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and production guidelines

EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND
- No prior experience required for P1 (entry level); training provided
- Experience in woodworking, automotive body repair, or paint finishing is a plus
- Progressive skill development expected across levels (P1–P4)

- Basic familiarity with sanding tools or willingness to learn

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours)
- Repetitive hand and wrist movements
- Ability to lift and move materials as needed
- Ability to bend, reach, and move throughout the shift
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
- Required to wear eye protection
- Required to wear Tyvek coveralls over clothing
- Required to wear a face mask/respirator (including fit testing)
- Required to pass a company-sponsored physical examination
