Job Description
I am a commercial photographer specializing in product, still-life, lifestyle and interiors. I am looking for someone to do digital retouching and assisting on commercial photography sets. We are looking for someone who wants to be with the company long term (minimum 2 year commitment). We are a small business and we all wear many hats, so there's always room to grow, learn and manage different aspects of the business.

What I Offer: You will get first hand experience and be able to hone your skills with everything from file processing, file management to photoshop manipulations. You will gain first hand experience as a first assistant and digital tech.

Time Commitment:40 hours a week. Shoot days are typically 8:30-5:30pm plus commute time. Photoshop hours can vary week to week, but generally we retouch at the studio from 9-5 daily. Once you are up to speed you can do extra work from home on nights and weekends if you want more hours.

REQUIREMENTS: (Do not apply unless you can answer yes to these)
Do you have one year photoshop retouching work experience?
Do you have a car?
Are you currently in the Bay Area and can work in Oakland daily?
Are you available 40 hours a week starting in September?
Have you had at least 2 years of college?

About you:-Photography/Arts experience a plus.-You should be a fast learner and a good communicator. -You should be fairly physical, there's always heavy equipment and furniture moving involved. -You should have a good eye for details and a good artistic sense. -Ability to prioritize and work on several projects simultaneously-Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:-Retouch photos -Show up on time-Loading and unloading gear. -Working closely with art directors, stylists, producers to ensure a smoothly functioning shoot. -Digital file management on shoot. Backing up data, assembling photoshop files, taking notes for retouching and other deliverables. -Setting up rigging for props, backgrounds, sets, etc. -Setting up lights, gaff, and camera equipment. -Setting up food on shoots, lunch orders, etc. -Cleaning up location after shoot, packing up, loading out.
