Yoshi’s Jazz Club is seeking an experienced and passionate local Sound Engineer to join our production team. We host world-class jazz, R&B, soul, hip-hop, and contemporary artists, and we’re looking for someone who can help deliver exceptional live sound experiences for both performers and audiences.
Position Details:
* Part-time position
* Typical schedule of 3–4 days per week
* Evening and weekend availability required
* Preference will be given to candidates who are local to the Bay Area and available to work regularly at our venue
Responsibilities:
* Mix live performances in a professional concert environment
* Set up, operate, and troubleshoot audio systems
* Work closely with touring engineers, artists, and production staff
* Maintain audio equipment and ensure show readiness
* Assist with soundchecks and event production needs
*Assist with artist transportation to and from airports to the music venue
Qualifications:
* Previous live sound engineering experience required
* Strong knowledge of digital mixing consoles and professional audio systems
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced live music environment
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Experience working in music venues, theaters, or concert settings preferred
