Position Title: Art Handler
Position Status: Full Time; Non-exempt/hourly
Location: main office warehouse in fairfield, driving to multiple gallery locations in sonoma county, napa county, and marin county
Job Duties:
• executes aesthetic vision of gallery including hanging, storage of artworks,
lighting, wall and pedestal painting and repair
• Responsible for uncrating, crating, transporting artworks between locations, and working with Operations
team to accurately document artwork condition throughout galleries and gardens
• Coordinates logistics of sculpture moves, Gallery re-hang, transport of artworks to clients, shippers or
between locations while reporting movements
• Packing of artworks for shipment
• Logistics and coordination of art home shows and art fairs
• Works with Operations to restock all facilities-related supplies
• Assist with daily art and design operations, as assigned
Education/Experience Requirements:
• Fine Art and Design experience preferred
• High School degree or equivalent required
Core Qualifications & Skills:
• Highly accurate, organized, and detail oriented, with strong multi-tasking and time management skills
• Competent trade skills associated with hanging artwork, measuring, using tools to assist moving sculpture
safely
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Outgoing, enthusiastic personality
• Good command of English
• Ability to work in a team environment and perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with
the Company’s policies
• Art handling, transportation, logistics, packaging, shipping
Computer Proficiency:
• Intermediate competency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with database management systems such as Salesforce.com
• Online shipping vendor software, e.g. UPS, USPS, FedEx, etc. is a plus
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to climb stairs, stoop, bend and lift
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Valid California Driver’s License
• Clean driving record
