Hello Graphic Designers,

I am starting a stationery company and I am searching for a business partner who is a graphic designer and is passionate about the stationery industry (greeting cards, wrapping paper, notebooks, pins, stickers, etc.). I live in Oakland, Ca and my vision is to be a curator of great artists and illustrators and use their work to create a wonderful stationery brand that tells stories through its art. I am looking for a business partner who wants to help me start this business from scratch. This would mean that you would need to have an entrepreneurial spirit and drive. This includes taking on risk, uncertain hours, potential long hours of unpaid work (when the business makes money, we make money), extreme dedication, and a passion for the work. A business partnership is like a marriage so we would need to share the same vision, compliment each others skills, and have good chemistry. If you just want an occasional freelance job then this is not for you. I would like you to be on a 3 month trial period as an independent contractor before moving into a partnership together. This is negotiable and we can continually reevaluate this as time goes on. At the end of the trial, we can both discuss whether or not we want to move forward together in a business partnership. I need help with several tasks. This includes:

1.) Familiarity with an ecommerce site. I will be using Shopify, so it is a plus if you have some experience with that.
2.) Formatting fine art for the stationery products using Adobe Suite
3.) Putting together catalogs, brochures, and other advertising material using the Adobe Creative Suite
4.) Vector logo making with Adobe Illustrator
5.) Ability to make catalogues, brochures, and other advertising material
6.) Knowing the basics of making a website functional and look nice. Once the business grows I will hire a professional to custom design the site, but at the start we will do it ourselves. I'm kinda a numskull and a little impatient when it comes to this so I want someone with skills in this area
7.) Experience with the social media platforms (Instagram, Pintrest, Facebook, and Twitter)

My strengths and interests lie in the business side of things, such as, company vision, branding, legality issues, working with the printer, research, customer issues and support, marketing, financing, and accounting. However, I really need help with the technical skills needed to complete each product. If our skills overlap and we can help each other, that's even better. I have attached a collection of greeting cards and put some links to artists that give you an example of the type of art that inspires me.
