I bought this from the estate of the original owner a year and a half ago. He was an older gentleman who was a Honda mechanic and owned his own shop. He passed away a few years ago. I was told it was his favorite bike. I am a retired systems engineer and couldn’t resist purchasing and restoring it to roadworthy condition. I purchased and installed the following:
- Tall wind screen
- Dunlop Trailmax Mission 50/50 tires and heavy duty tubes
- EBC brake pads front and rear, EBC front disc
- CDI
- Carburetor boot (insulator)
- DID X-ring chain
- Raximo Enduro (larger) foot pegs
- Hepco and Becker crash bar
- Iridium spark plug
- Hyperpro progressive front fork springs and fork oil
- Garmin Zumo 665 GPS (older model)
- New battery, oil, oil filter, air filter
I cleaned the carburetor with an ultrasonic cleaning machine and adjusted the valves.
This model has electric start, dual exhaust, and a 3.4 gallon fuel tank. It is rated at 42hp which is plenty of power. It has an OEM onboard tool kit and the OEM Honda Service Manual is included.
This adventure bike is great on the street and also on dirt roads, and it has a low seat height which makes it easy to ride.
The original owner custom built panniers and cruiser pegs which both come with the bike.
He also added bar risers, a center stand, a rack, and a wind screen. I was told he only used AMSOIL motor oil.
The bike is a looker and elicits “thumbs up” from admirers.
No low-ballers please, and I do not need help selling the bike.
