Hello,
Welcome to The french Center located in the East Bay and operated by me Yasmina, a French native born and raised in France.
I was raised in Burgundy near Beaune and Dijon until I was seven then we moved to Mulhouse in Alsace Lorraine.
From the University of Strasbourg I got a bachelor Degree in English and Spanish applied to Business.
I have been teaching French and translating from English to French since I came to the Bay Area in 2001.
I teach all levels. Beginners to advanced. I put the emphasis on the pronunciation because it is the most difficult part of the French language.
Among other methods I use to teach French, I use a method called French in Action. It is a cult series played on PBS for decades.
52 half hour videos take you from a beginner level to an advanced intermediate level. You can find them for free under Foreign Languages on a website called learner.org. Just put French in Action in the search.
I teach in person at your house or mine or in a coffee shop. I have a car so I can meet you. I live in Richmond.
I also teach online on Zoom.
I charge $50 and hour but I recommend 90 minutes for $75.
