If you are having trouble understanding programming concepts for classes at a school or bootcamp, want some help learning to program on your own time, or would like some assistance on a personal software development project, shoot me an email with your availability and any questions.
My first hour session is always free (and no commitment to further sessions is necessary) to make sure I am a good fit for your learning style. After that, I charge $150/hour (discounts available for multi-hour sessions). Sessions will be at the East Bay Community Space at Telegraph and 55th (I will cover the cost of your access to their coworking space). If you want to learn, but you're not sure you can afford weekly sessions, let me know -- it is often possible to provide lesson resources to work on that will fill the time between more sparse session schedules (every-other-weekly, etc.).
If you can't afford to pay for lessons at all, I'm happy to offer that one free lesson regardless and answer some questions or help give you some guidance for how to try learning on your own.
I've been programming for 10 years and teaching programming for 4 years as a private tutor, a teacher at Dev Bootcamp, and a volunteer with RailsBridge, ElmBridge, and Techtonica. I can provide links to student reviews of my teaching work on request.
