My name is Sami, and I am an experienced economist specializing in banking regulation, risk management, and financial modeling. I have had the honor of tutor 100+ students over the last 15 years. Many of my students have worked with me throughout their academic and work careers.
I currently teach all levels of mathematics (algebra through multivariable calculus), statistics, economics, and finance for grades 6-12, college, and some graduate level work.
I earned dual Masters in Economics and Public Policy from Wash U. I graduated with Honors from the University of California, Berkeley with dual degrees, a B.A. in Economics and a B.S. in Business Administration.
My goal with each student is to identify the best methods in which they learn, use varied teaching techniques and examples to help them develop skills and master the subject, and help them to boost their confidence. I truly believe that high academic achievement can be reached through hard work and confidence in ones abilities.

Policies:
Hourly rate: $60-90 for in-person or online tutoring depending on the level of course (middle school, high school, college, graduate).
Rate note: I offer options for students with financial hardships. I also offer this pricing discounts for students who I work with multiple times per week.
Travel policy: Within 10 miles of Oakland, CA 94610
Lesson cancellation: Student/ parent must notify me with 12 hours notice, otherwise a cancellation fee of $25 will be charged.
