I'm very technical in my coaching, very big on having a strong foundation and setting the basic fundamentals.
I like breaking down swings and strokes, explaining why and how it's done the way it is. Setting muscle memory through repetition is another key element that I use to help folks master strokes. I understand individuals have different learning capabilities so I have many different ways of explaining.
Modern tennis has changed a lot over the years and I see a lot of coaches are still teaching the old methods and swing patterns. I also take videos and do video breakdowns and analysis.
The other part is footwork and fitness which I'm very big on, no matter how good of a stroke you have if movement and footwork isn't there you can't hit the ball well.
