Most advertisers get hundreds of responses. One way to sort through these is to immediately delete people who have not read the ad. It is easy to recognize if the response is "is the gig still available," "where are you located," "please call me," those that do not answer the questions, complain or auto respond with a resume.
If you take a few seconds to read the ad you send a message that you are conscientious and thoughtful-good traits. I hope this will help those who are not getting more work than they can handle.
