Licensed contractor hiring skilled construction workers as W-2 employees for an active garage-to-ADU conversion
project in Newark, California.
Project Overview
2-car garage conversion into a 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom unit with kitchen. Framing is complete. Project was left
incomplete by a prior contractor and requires correction and completion to pass city inspection.
Scope of Work
• Framing corrections and fire blocking
• Drywall removal for inspection access
• Plumbing exposure and pressure test preparation
• Electrical circuit corrections and panel separation
• Window installation and flashing
• Shower wall board installation (no drywall)
• Mechanical rough-in assistance
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Punctuality is mandatory.
Pay Structure
$30 – $37.50 per hour based on experience. W-2 employment only. No cash payments. No subcontracting.
Requirements
• Valid SSN required (no ITIN)
• Construction experience required
• Ability to read construction plans
• Speak and understand English
• Live near Newark, CA
• Reliable transportation and professional conduct
