I know that "finding" it really made your day, and I'm happy for you for that, but I do want to inform you that while you may have kept only the greenbacks, perhaps oddly to your thinking, the clip was more valuable to me than the money it held: An antique silver plate spoon formed into a money clip by a San Francisco Street Artist, a flower child graduate of the Summer of Love. This guy made and sold spoon rings and other gadgets on the sidewalk in front of Macy's in SF, back in the 70's.
You say sure, how do I know all that? I know that because I've carried it all these years since I made it one Christmas Eve on that sidewalk in front of Macy's.
Tell you what: If you can retrieve that money clip, I'll trade you for one of my spoon rings left over from that time so long ago. Deal?
EDIT: Of the responders I've had to this post, none seem particularly authentic, but most have an interest in my spoon rings. Sorry to say, those unique and excellent quality rings are not to be sold. My offer of a trade does still stand, but only to the genuine responder. Sir, where did you "find" my money clip, the dollar amount contained within, and on what date?
That may eliminate a few false-sayers, but I do thank you all for your interest.
