Job Description:
The Yard Hand is responsible for assisting with daily yard operations, including loading and unloading materials, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and ensuring adherence to safety procedures. This role requires physical stamina, teamwork, and attention to detail.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in loading and unloading materials safely and efficiently.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required safety gear.
- The use of headphones is strictly prohibited.
- Operate basic equipment such as forklifts and loaders.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free yard environment.
- Assist customers and truck drivers with material pickups.
- Conduct routine equipment checks and report any issues to management.
- Work an 8-hour shift with flexibility during peak seasons.
- Be proactive in supporting team members beyond regular duties.
- Employees may be required to perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Experience: 1-3 years in warehouse, yard operations, or construction.
• Skills: Heavy lifting, teamwork, equipment operation (required).
• Certifications: Forklift certification (preferred but not required).
• Personality: Hardworking, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and team player.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in outdoor environments.
