Rock Paper Scissors Landscape, Inc. is an established Landscape Design & Installation company based in Oakland,
and we are looking for a Landscape Construction Foreman who shares our values of work ethic, quality and results.
Qualifications:
This position is for a working foreman, working independently as well as supervising 1-5 employees.
Ability to effectively understand and communicate with supervisors and crew members.
Friendly and communicative with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
Possess verifiable experience in Landscape Installation in a lead position.
Must have a valid CA driver's license and insurable driving record.
English/Spanish bilingual.

Landscape Construction Foreman work description:
- You will handle more technical aspects of the construction process such as layout, troubleshooting, programming controllers, operating equipment
- Drive a company truck with occasional trailer
- Ability to use all landscaping tools and equipment, including excavator, trencher, stump grinder, saws, drills, laser level, jackhammer, etc.
- Read and understand landscape plans including carpentry, masonry, and engineered details.
- Ability to be flexible in the field when those plans change.
- Masonry; install flatwork including concrete and stone; concrete and stone walls, stairs and columns; outdoor kitchens.
- Understand setting forms and elevations, cut and tie rebar etc.
- Carpentry including decks and deck stairs, fences/gates, pergolas and railings for varied materials (Redwood/Cedar, hardwoods, Bamboo, synthetic).
- Plumbing; install irrigation and drainage systems, water features.
- Electrical; install landscape lighting systems and irrigation control wiring.
- Planting with best practices including soil work/amendment, staking and tying.
We can train in some areas. The most important thing is the ability to understand the design intent and execute the plan
by taking responsibility and delegating tasks.
You must always be prepared for the following day if you need materials, or items ahead of time, be able to make
a list and report to superintendent.
Keep the job site clean and punch list items to a minimum.
Take pride in your work.
Be comfortable asking questions at any time, and volunteering information when you have valuable expertise to share.
