Vegan Distribution is a wholesale food distributor seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate to ensure our products get in and out of our warehouse in an accurate, safe, and timely manner.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Build customer orders on pallets
• Check all loads for accuracy and ensure they are thoroughly secured for delivery
• Load company trucks for delivery
• Unload/receive deliveries and check against purchase order for accuracy
• Inspect products for damages or defects
• Store the products in their proper places
• Operate pallet jacks and forklifts safely and responsibly
• Fulfill orders for will-call customers as needed
• Communicate discrepancies or issues as they occur to the appropriate personnel
• Maintain a clean and efficient warehouse
• Treating all customers and coworkers in a helpful and professional manner
• Other tasks as required
Qualifications
• Basic math, computer, and English communication skills
• Ability to do repetitive bending, squatting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and hand motions
• Ability to walk/stand for a full shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in areas with temperature and humidity variations based on local weather conditions and the type of product being selected (i.e., non-refrigerated and refrigerated areas)
• Forklift experience preferred (we will train if necessary)
• Performs all tasks with a high level of accuracy with minimal supervision
• Superior attention to detail
• Positive attitude
