Duet Botanical is an event-based floral design studio located in Berkeley. We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Studio Assistant to support the smooth day-to-day functioning of our studio. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role ideal for someone who thrives in a creative environment, enjoys working independently, and takes pride in keeping things organized behind the scenes. This is not a design role. Potential for additional hours.
The position is for approximately 4 hours per week and includes:
- washing vessels and buckets
- organizing and maintaining studio tools, materials, and supplies
- taking compost to the city dump (valid driver's license)
- sweep floors, take out compost/trash, and bring bins in the following morning
- run errands (e.g., Amazon returns, Target, Home Depot, Nursery etc.)
The schedule is flexible, but Mondays or Tuesdays preferred. This would be a great position for a college student or anyone looking to earn a little extra income.
Qualifications:
- professional, polite, and positive attitude
- able to work independently, take initiative, and problem-solve
- comfortable with physical tasks (lifting, standing, cleaning)
- punctual and dependable
- valid driver’s license preferred for errands
