We're looking for a reliable, hands-on apartment building manager to help oversee a 17-unit residential property. Must have some handyman skills.
This role is ideal for someone who's organized, responsive, and comfortable wearing a few different hats—tenant coordination, light oversight, and short-term rental management. It is best suited for a single person—without kids—who’s comfortable with hands-on work and living on-site in a working building.
Compensation:
$800 guaranteed monthly rent credit + hourly pay based on experience for specific tasks performed (to offset rent completely)
Potential for additional incentives
Flexible structure depending on availability and fit
Responsibilities:
Day-to-day management of a 17-unit apartment building
Tenant communication (questions, issues, coordination)
Coordinating maintenance and repairs with vendors/contractors
Basic oversight of property condition and common areas
Coordinating cleaning and turnovers
Handling minor tenant issues as they arise
Helping ensure smooth operations across both long-term and short-term units
Requirements:
Strong communication and organizational skills
Comfortable using email, text, and basic online platforms (previous experience is a plus)
Problem-solver who can handle issues calmly and professionally
Local and available to respond when needed
Prior property management or hospitality experience preferred, but not required for the right person
