Truly beautiful, antique, Cambodian Silver elephant betel nut box. Made in the traditional Khmer silver work. Made around the turn of the century. Each box is hand-formed of sheet silver and then hand chased and repousse added. This betel box has a lot of detail, right down to the tusks. Use the zoom feature to see. Stamped T90x on the bottom (90% silver).

These boxes traditionally held betel leaves, nuts, leaves, tobacco and/ or ointments. Original condition. I made no attempt to clean the inside as can be seen in the pictures of some residue at the bottom inside. Your chance to own a piece of history and beauty.

Measurements: approx 2 1/4" long x 2 1/8" tall x 1 1/8" wide. Weighs 36 grams
Marks: T90x is stamped on the bottom.

This box is in good antique condition. May have typical signs of use such as light surface scratches and possible residue. No obvious damage.
