This machine is designed for stitching products such as auto, boat, furniture upholstery, tarpaulins, sails, tents, camping trailer covers, awnings, umbrellas, tops, bags, luggage, handbags, travel wear accessories, sports and camping equipment, wearing apparrel, outdoor clothing, canvas shoes, slippers, orthopedic appliances, and much more. The TuffSew Straight Stitch machine is a heavy duty sewing machine with straight and reverse stitch. The machine has a built-in integrated walking foot which makes this machine superior to any household or industrial strength sewing machine. This walking foot grabs the material from top and bottom, which relieves pressure on the needle assembly. Heavy materials and multiple layers prove no match for this workhorse built-in walking foot.
These machines also feature a geared belt pulley drive which provides greater penetration power, and longer belt life. Cleated posi traction belts combined with a new geared hand wheel pulley, geared reduction pulley, and geared motor pulley eliminate slipping. These cleated posi traction belts, combined with the walking foot, enable the machine to operate smoothly and efficiently. Last but not least- this machine is an all cast iron machine with all metal gears. If you are looking to sew heavy fabric, make sure your machine has metal gears, not plastic. It will be a workhorse for years to come.
