Gorgeous Atomic Age ceramic table lamp made in 1954 by Tye of California, excellent condition, no chips, scratches, etc. electrical wiring works well, an homage to Fauvist artist Raoul Dufy who died in 1953, signed and dated, the Paris city scene on the sphere lights up through small holes in the ceramic base to highlight the Eiffel Tower, a cafe, the sky, etc., the original glass fixture at the top houses a single light bulb, you can illuminated the top and bottom lights simultaneously or just one at a time, the original metal lamp shade holder sits on the top of the glass fixture and the original finial is at the top, all you will need is to buy a lamp shade of your choice, my memory is that the lamp shade was round and a thin white fabric perhaps with a subtle geometric design, the lamp measures 32 inches tall and 13 inches wide, pick up in Danville, no shipping, cash only.
