Seeking Personal Care Assistant …Pay is $25 per hour
I am retired disabled woman who lives in Berkeley. A former program director, project developer and researcher in the disability field. I enjoy writing, films, a good book, food, and spending time with friends. I am known to have a good sense of humor and appreciate that trait in the people around me. I also appeared in the critically acclaimed film Crip Camp.
I use a power wheelchair for all my mobility. The job involves assistance with dressing, showering, some assistance with toileting, grooming, range of motion exercises, shopping, light, housekeeping, and cooking. I weigh 125lbs and can stand with assistance to do a pivot turn transfer. My current assistant and I will train in all aspects of the job.
Needing to fill the following shifts:
Weekend mornings 8a.m to 12p.m.. and evenings 8 to 11pm.
Thursday and Friday mornings 8a.m to 2p.m
Qualifications: reliable and trustworthy, compassionate, excellent communication skills, flexible and punctual, strong judgment and attention to details. Current IHSS provider or willing to register. Valid California driver’s license(ID) and Social Security card. Proof of Covid vaccination. Three work related references.
