Detecto 6550 wheelchair scale. in use every day. this is a commercial scale, not a recent home qualilty item. we bought it used, some years ago, from a school district. used it every day. and we no longer need it. accurate, durable. Detecto has been making this model for quite a few years. you can look them up online. they sell for between $3,000 and $4,000 new. plus tax and shipping. the 6550 folds up, and is fairly easy to transport. i just leave it in the hallway. convenient, durable.
