Hard wood with veneer top. The Chairs are nicely padded and have no rips/holes. They have a few small stains here and there – the largest being a red wine stain about the size of a quarter (Visible in first pic).
Table and chairs are very well made, really solid, everything is great in terms of functionality, and nothing is broken.
What is wrong with this set is everything to do with the finish:
• Table has many light surface scratches throughout
• Various discolorations, a few light rings - nothing awful
• I can’t seem to make it looked like it’s not smudged - particularly on the chairs
• Dings in chair arm – see pic – it shows the worst
• I’ve tried to capture the bad finish as best I can
We’ve had this set for ~15 years, so it has had many hands all over it. Either I’m not using the right cleaning method, or everything needs to be refinished.
