The Gerber Covert Auto is an evolution of the Applegate-Fairbairn folder with the addition of fast automatic action at the press of a button. It has an over-sized release button for easy deployment even with gloves. A front mounted safety engages in both the open and closed positions for secure carry and use. The Covert features aluminum scales with grip enhancing grooves and stainless liners to assure the rigidity of the handle. Its removable deep carry clip allows convenient and discreet carry.
The Covert is a big knife yet weighs nothing in comparison. The knife is shy of 9 inches when fully extended. The knife is very slim and measures under an inch wide and under half an inch thick making it a great everyday carry option (handle is made from anodized 6061- lightweight aluminum). The blade is premium S30V steel. Fires hard with authority.
