Price firm, no offers, please. I only answer people who want to buy one cart for $45 or both for $80. If you see this ad, they are available so please do not ask because I will not answer. I also do not answer people who are “interested“.
Full disclosure:
The photos are of one of the carts that needs specific work. As described below and shown in the first and last photo, one of the front wheel caster’s shaft mounts needs to be straightened so the front of the cart is level. The wheel needs to be removed and the nut for the part that holds the axel removed. I did not try to fix it because it may need to be heated to bend the socket back in position without breaking the weld. A welding shop could cut it and reattach it so it is plumb.
There is no store identification, selling or using, on these carts.
I worked many hours to prepare them the way they are now if I were to buy another one. I use a gray one to walk several miles to Trader Joe’s, etc.
Because they lived outside, there are some spots/areas that have rust. I removed much of it.
I washed/cleaned the carts and modified them for maximum basket capacity.
The wheels were removed, cleaned, and adjusted so the ball-bearings make them roll easily.
The third photo of one of the carts shows the right holder for the castor bracket is bent back but that does not affect how the cart rolls, that is, it seems to track straight, no pulling left or right on level ground/floors.
The second basket on the bottom of this type of cart doubles the capacity. (Many carts only have a flat bottom platform.) I put heavy items in there on mine to lower the center of gravity for better handling going over curbs, etc.
New models like these cost about $600 (plus tax) including shipping, probably because of the required oversize box. It weighs about 40 pounds.
The approximate dimensions are 40.5 H x 34 L x 23 W.
I gave one to a friend who uses it to move food from his house to his patio BBQ parties.
I am a few blocks off of 680 on the border of Pleasant Hill and Concord, California.
You may order and pay on eBay to hold them until you come to get them. You will have to pay sales tax.
