Pearlweed - Easy Aquatic Plant for Fish Tank/Aquarium - $5 (oakland downtown)

You can place them anywhere you want, but they make excellent background and foreground plants. You can even have a pearlweed carpet. If you want a shorter carpet, you will just have to trim more since this plant grows quite quickly! You can replant the trimmings.
Cost: $5 per package
Portion Size (1 package): You will receive a minimum of 10 stems. I try to throw in extras, especially if you are purchasing more than 1 package. They can range from 1"–2”. Some of the baby trimmings I throw in as freebies can be less than 1”.

Note: I do have ramshorn, bladder, and Malaysian trumpet snails in my aquarium, which I will try my best to remove.
