Ready to bottle that Homemade wine? Noticed how expensive the bottles are at the home winemaking store?
These bottles are just $8 per case of 12 bottles (two cases for $15) and they have the advantage of being re-used. Go green and use re-used bottles! Close to zero carbon footprint! I get bottles from friends, scrape off the labels, and clean them to a high standard. They are ready to use!

Frequently Asked Questions:
1. So its $8 for a case of 12 bottles? Yes. $15 for two cases.
2. How many do you have left? Just check this ad, I try to keep it current.
3. Are the bottles all different? There is variation within a case, but I try to keep similar bottles within a case.
4. This includes a good box to hold the bottles? Yes, not always easy to find good cardboard, but it is included.
5. Can I use Venmo (or other new-fangled payment method)? No, its cash only please. Okay, also Zelle.
6. Are these clean? Glass is used for laboratories because it cleans and sterilizes so well. This have been thoroughly cleaned but not sterilized. I recommend a rinse with SO2 or disinfectant -- which is the same thing the store should tell you when you buy brand new bottles. That being said, I use them myself as-is and have never had a problem.
7. Screwcap? Novatwist? I have seen the future of wine bottles, and it is screwcap. One third of all wine sold in the U.S. is now sold in screwcap. The difficulty, up to this point, has been in installing a new closure on a screwcap bottle, which required an expensive machine. The Novatwist cap is applied by hand! I am happy to demonstrate. The result is a tight closure and handsome collar. I carry them in burgundy color only. Made in France!
8. Why are these not for weddings? Cleaning these bottles is laborious. I do it because I want to see these bottles re-used. When folks use wine bottles in wedding parties (typically for water on each table), the bottles are typically discarded afterwards. The best that can be hoped is that the bottles are "recycled," which means placed in recycling bins. The best case then is that the bottles are crushed into "mixed cullet" and used to make new bottles. All too often, this is not what happens, and the result is placed in landfill. Re-use is better than recycling.
