I have a 1969 Trail 90 with only 31 original miles. Yes, you read that right! The cable is still attached to the speedometer and I know it works because just from rolling it around when it’s in the way the tenths of a mile dial has changed.
It was sitting in a shed since the 1970's until I got it a couple years ago. It definitely has good compression still. I’m not sure if it runs or not though since there are no keys and the original carb and intake were used on another project and the original battery is dead. I was told it was running when it was parked in the shed. Still has the original battery, tires and the original optional chrome rack. The air box and cowl were removed to install a better flowing air filter. The seat padding and upholstery were eaten by critters long ago.
Most of the parts for these bikes are still available either used, new OEM or reproduction. You can even get brand new engine/transmission assemblies that bolt right in, but this one will probably run just the way it is.
Besides the regular transmission this one also has the very desirable high-low gear range. It rolls and shifts easily between the gears too.
I got it from the original owner who bought it to teach his kids how to ride and shift gears on it before buying them motorcycles to motocross ride with him. The kids just rode it around his 1/4 acre lot at home near my house.
I’ve consulted with some motorcycle and Honda Trail collectors and because of the extremely low miles this is a very rare ”barn” find of a desirable year and model. So, I know what it is worth the way it is now and if made to run again using only original parts.
I have too many projects and need to make some room. So, with all of that said I am in no hurry to part with it. So, low ballers and scammers need not reply. Also, I do not need help marketing it.
Lowball offers will not get a reply and rude ones will be reported.
Best reasonable offer get's it. Do not ask me how much I want for it. Come and look at it and make me an offer.
I might also consider a trade for a nice atv, coot, rokon if they are complete.
It's that simple...
