Last year I missed a step and tore or broke the achilles tendon going to my left foot. As I was getting a cast put on at kaiser, the podietrist mentioned that there is a "high tec" boot, very expensive but studies have shown that it greatly reduces the healing time.
I looked it up on Amazon and it was $333, but I figured it was worth it if I could speed up the healing. It turns out that after the cast (one month) and then the Vaco Ped, another month I was healed. So I no longer need this and hoping someone who needs it will get it.
The boot comes with an extra foot bed/heel, and two foot wraps, as well as a couple of tools for adjusting the level and angle of tilt. I am also throwing in a set of "lifts" to keep both feet on the same plane. Walking with different leg height will cause back pains.
