I found repair instructions and bought a repair kit on eBay that includes 4 replacement thumbsticks, 4 replacement analog sticks (? I don’t even know what you call these. See the photo) and the necessary tools.
The white controller works fine, but is definitely uncomfortable to use with the chewed off nubbins. The purple controller was the same but I did dismantle it, so I can’t make any promises. There’s definitely a ribbon that looks like maybe it broke?
I started to do one repair and got pulled away and it has now been a month that I’ve been “meaning to” get back to it and I need to acknowledge that I’m not going to finish this project. I was using these instructions: https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/DualSense+Joystick+Replacement/142488
Price negotiable. I would like enough for a cappuccino, that would be nice. Honestly I would also just like someone to take this project and enjoy it.
