Paradiso, in San Leandro, is seeking a seasoned, service-driven Floor Manager to help lead day-to-day front-of-house operations in a high-volume, high-expectation / fine dining restaurant environment.
This role is ideal for a proven hospitality leader with 5 or more years of floor manager/ front of house management experience who thrives on delivering exceptional guest experiences, developing staff, and driving operational excellence. This FOH Manager will bring a positive, lead-by-example attitude every day, work closely with ownership and the management team to ensure smooth daily operations, uphold Paradiso’s service standards, and mentor the broader leadership team.

- Sommelier and wine knowledge experience also a PLUS.
Supervision:
Reports directly to Ownership and collaborates closely with Chefs, HR, and the Floor Management Team.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
Directly oversee front-of-house operations during assigned shifts, ensuring seamless communication with the kitchen and superior guest experiences.
Serve as the primary floor leader on designated shifts, maintaining strong visibility and approachability for both guests and staff.
Team Coaching & Development
Lead, coach, and motivate the FOH team; provide real-time feedback and help foster a culture of professionalism, respect, and hospitality.
Serve as a mentor to floor managers, providing guidance on conflict resolution, guest recovery, and service leadership.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred, but not required.
Training & Onboarding
Partner with HR and management in onboarding and training new team members.
Ensure consistent execution of Steps of Service, guest engagement, and operational standards across shifts.
Guest Relations
Act as the primary point of contact for guest feedback and service recovery.
Empower staff to anticipate guest needs and deliver personalized service that reflects Paradiso’s values.
Operational Oversight & Systems
Lead or assist with daily opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and post-shift reports.
Demonstrate strong POS and technology proficiency, including troubleshooting and reporting accuracy.
Collaborate with Chefs and the ownership team on service flow, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
Wine & Beverage Leadership
Maintain solid knowledge of wine, cocktails, and pairings to elevate the guest experience and train staff effectively, actively help run and organize wine program.
Administrative & Scheduling Responsibilities
Take ownership of front-of-house scheduling and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
Assist with payroll reporting and processing, labor tracking, and operational analysis in collaboration with HR and ownership.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of progressive restaurant management experience (fine dining or upscale casual preferred).
Proven ability to lead and inspire large FOH teams in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal, great communication, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated track record of improving service standards, team engagement, and operational results.
Schedule:
Days: 5 days a week based on restaurant's needs - including weekends
Typical Hours: 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM (subject to operational needs)
