Flour+Water Pizza Shop is hiring a salaried, full time Kitchen Manager to help build and lead a fantastic team at our new location in Oakland, slated in open this January.

The ideal candidate for the Kitchen Manager role is fluent in English and Spanish, is passionate about food and hospitality, has experience with both BOH and FOH in fast-casual concepts (experience with pizza is a huge plus!), is systems and process oriented, and has a strong desire to foster growth and development in our team.
Schedule: This is a full time, salaried, exempt position. The typical workweek will be five consecutive shifts, with regular evening and weekend commitments. Expected hours will be approximately 50 hours per week, and over 50 hours or more than five days per week on occasion.
Compensation and Benefits: Salary in the range of $75k/year DOE, plus a quarterly bonus program, 10 days PTO/year, full medical, dental and vision coverage, EAP, basic life, 401k, employee stock option program, dining discounts and more.
QUALIFICATIONS:
● At least two years experience in food & beverage leadership with an emphasis on systems and protocols
● Strong organizational and time management skills along with impeccable attention to detail
● Strong leadership skill set with the ability to effectively coach, mentor and hold team members accountable while maintaining a personable and approachable presence for all
● Previous experience managing employees, inventory, delivery intake, and food
preparation
● Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all shareholders including guests, investors, and all levels of staff
● A firm understanding of kitchen sanitation practices and health department standards with valid food handlers card
● Working knowledge and understanding of restaurant financials, food and labor costs, inventory and payroll
● Takes initiative and is resolution oriented, has the ability to juggling many tasks at the same time
● Weekend and evening availability a must
● Quick service management experience is a plus (especially pizza!)
● Fluent in Spanish a big plus!
