Experienced Baker Wanted – Must Be Able to Work Independently
We're looking for an experienced baker to join our team; mainly bagels, pizza dough, focaccia and other baked goods.. This role requires someone who can run daily operations solo — from opening to closing — with minimal oversight.
Pay: Starting at $25/hour after 6 months to $30
Hours: 6am-2pm - 5 days a week.
Requirements:
Proven experience baking bagels (boiling, shaping, proofing, baking — the whole process)
Experience with other breads a plus (focaccia, pizza dough)
Comfortable working alone and managing your own shift start to finish
Strong organizational skills — keeping prep, inventory, and cleanup on track without being told
Reliable and punctual; you're the one opening and locking up
Ability to manage time well
Able to work comfortably in a very small/tight kitchen space
Able to navigate steps and ramps while pushing speed racks
Able to lift and carry 50 lb bags of flour
Physically able to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods
Responsibilities:
Open and close the shop independently
Prepare dough, boil, and bake bagels to schedule
Prep and bake other breads, including focaccia and pizza dough
General prep work (dough mixing, portioning, ingredient prep)
Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and workspace
Track inventory and flag supply needs
Uphold consistent quality and freshness standards
