Cafe Brusco is currently seeking a cafe cook to join our amazing team, 4-5 shifts per week. This position will primarily be in the kitchen but we are looking for someone who is also excited to cross train on register and barista duties for a well-rounded and flexible position.
Duties will include working the line making bagel sandwiches, prep tasks such as slicing meat and mixing cream cheese, maintaining a clean and organized work station, keeping track of inventory and prep lists, and communicating needs to the Manager and Owner. Barista / register duties include taking orders with an emphasis on warm and genuine customer service, handling cash, maintaining product inventory and organization, prepping drink bases and syrups, brewing filter coffee and preparing espresso based drinks.
We are a small team that works collaboratively and takes pride in all aspects of what we do. We make our own bagels down the street at Rose Pizza(same ownership), make delicious and seasonal bagel sandwiches and serve excellent coffee from Counter Culture as well as a rotating guest roaster, and pastries from Good Luck Bakery. In the 10 months we’ve been open we’ve already established a strong community of regulars and the team is working together fluidly and having fun doing it!
Starting pay $22 per hour, plus equal share of tips (currently averaging $8-12+/hr) after 3 training shifts. Other perks include staff discounts, shift meals, snacks and coffee drinks!
Shifts begin as early as 7:15AM and end no later than 4PM. Must be available to work weekends. 4 shifts minimum.
