A 5-star catering company in Pleasanton, California is seeking a qualified candidate to fill our hybrid Customer Service Representative position. This role is approximately 60% in person and 40% remote. Find out more about our company at www.pleasantoncateringcompany.com!
Remote duties may include (but not limited to):
- Answer incoming phone calls and online chats
- Generate complete and accurate leads from applicable calls/chats
- Manage all voicemails, responding when applicable
- Communicate correct information to clients regarding products and service offerings, deadlines and company policy
- Communicate with kitchen, full service, accounting and operations to address operational issues relating to those departments
- Securely record client payment information into our payment processor
- Maintain activity log daily
- Draft and revise quotes based on leads and client correspondence
- Manage company inbox
- Generate catering orders, invoices and Google calendar tickets for drop off and/or full service events using standard company protocols; facilitate order cancellations according to company policy
In-person duties include (to be conducted at our kitchen):
- Printing catering orders, receipts and all other relevant documents for all orders
- Creating staff binders for full-service events
- Preparing labels for all applicable orders
- Processing tips and reporting them to our Accounts Manager
- Recycle old order forms once per month
- Fulfilling deliveries on occasion (in rare cases of emergency)
The ideal candidate has excellent verbal and written communication skills, is detail oriented and can work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED
- Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle
- 1 year of related experience (plus if you have remote work experience)
- Own or have access to a Mac computer with the necessary specifications to handle company applications (for use in daily tasks)
- Have working knowledge of Mac computers and how to use them
- Must have access to high-speed Internet
- Must have an appropriate workspace with minimal background noise
- Must maintain confidentiality with client PII
- It is a big plus if you have experience in the event planning or food and beverage industries
- Saturday availability
Compensation:
- $20/hr base + tips (~$5.15/hr on average, based on historical data)
- Sick pay
- Monthly bonus potential
Schedule:
- During Training: Monday through Friday (times TBD)
- After training: Tuesday through Saturday (9:30am - 6:00pm T-F; 9:00am - 5:00pm S)
